Plan for income sources.

Creating a money map of where and when you will be receiving income can help you get a picture of what you can afford. You may have access to pensions or retirement funding like 401(k)s, or you may be receiving help from family members. If your expenses cost more than your income, you may need to consider taking on a part-time job.
