An Overview of Challenging Behaviors

Children and adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and intellectual and developmental disabilities are at increased risk to engage in challenging behavior such as self-injury, aggression, and destructive behavior. These problems vary widely in terms of their severity and their responsiveness to treatment.
